Our Doctors

​​​​​Dr. Christian Chew received his Bachelor of Science in Molecular Cell and Developmental Biology from University of California, Santa Cruz and his Doctor of Optometry degree from Western University of Health Sciences. During his academic career, he held multiple leadership positions, including consecutive terms as student government president of his class. Dr. Chew would go on to graduate with distinction from the Beta Sigma Kappa and Gold Key International Optometric Honor Societies. 

​Dr. Chew has driven across the country (literally from coast to coast!) to seek prestigious clinical experiences in primary care, ocular disease, and complex custom contact lenses. Now settled back in the Bay Area, Dr. Chew is meticulous when implementing these specialties in eye health management to ensure his patients receive the best eye care possible. If you manage to catch him outside the office though, your best best might be at a national park or on a local golf course.

​​​​​Dr. Michael Chew has been in private practice in the Bay Area for nearly three decades. He obtained his doctorate degree in optometry from the State University of New York, College of Optometry. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley. He is a member of both the American Optometric Association and California Optometric Association.

Dr. Chew is board-certified to treat eye injuries and treat and diagnose various eye conditions. Dr. Chew also has extensive expertise (and fun, too) in fitting all contact lens types, from spherical to toric to multifocal and keratoconic lens wearers.

As he travels between his two offices in South San Francisco to Millbrae, Dr. Chew continues his commitment to providing all his patients with his highest level of comprehensive eye care.

​​​​​Dr. Marianne Florendo graduated from UC Berkeley and received her doctorate from Western University of Health Sciences. She has been an active member of American Optometric Association and California Optometric Association for over a decade. She is board-certified to treat glaucoma and eye injuries, and is passionate about myopia control and dry eye therapy.

She is an avid Warriors fan and loves listening to classical music and Snoop Dogg Kids Hits with her daughter, Sienna. She also has been known to wipe the floor in Scrabble and Bananagrams from time to time!
