Myopia Control

Is your child's vision getting worse year after year?

Let's take control of it.

Here's how it works.

A significant amount of nearsightedness begins to occur
starting as soon as 6 years old.

By fitting your children with custom fit contact lenses,
we can significantly slow down their worsening myopia.

Using the one-of-a-kind MiSight contact lenses, we can manipulate how light is focused in the eye.

This allows us to take control of how the eye grows.
There is strong evidence that supports how well it works too.

This graph shows that over a course of 3 years, the average change in prescription change was cut by more than 50% in the group of children who wore the myopia controlling contacts.

You can also see here how wearing these contacts reduce how much the eye grows over the course of 3 years.

More than 50% of change each year!

Are there other options?

Absolutely.

With Orthokeratology (aka Ortho-K), we can fit your eyes with a customized lens quite different from your typical contact lens.

Instead of putting contacts on to see, you take these off after wearing them in your sleep.
That's it!
Your vision will be corrected all day.

There is significant data that shows if we intervene at the right time, we can cut progressing nearsightedness (aka myopia) by nearly half. We know that children's myopia is most sensitive to change in early childhood, which will set the foundation for visual potential for the rest of their lives.

By reducing the overall power of the eye, we can significantly reduce their risk of eye diseases most associated with high levels of myopia.

What's the risks of each additional diopter of change?

<Myopia Control: Why Each Diopter Matters>

Cataract

The risk of cataracts is increased 20% with each diopter.

Macular Disease

The risk of macular disease is increased 67% higher with each diopter.

Retinal Detachment

The risk of retinal detachment is increased 20% with each diopter.

Don't wait!

Once the majority of eye growth has happened, we cannot put it in reverse. Ask anyone on our team for more information.
